A Softer Beginning
A series exploring balance, color and the relationship between control and instinct within interior spaces.
About the collection
These paintings ask how we create sanctuary within the spaces we inhabit, inviting you into a conversation between the wild and the constructed, between what we design and what we feel.
Across all works, the panthers have settled into the spaces. They feel more at ease, part of the environment rather than separate from it. This shift reflects a maturation in how I'm thinking about the relationship between figure and setting. It's less about tension or contrast, and more about harmony and belonging. The animals are no longer observers or intruders; they inhabit these spaces naturally, as if they've always been there.
